The Picture Is Out Of Alignment
How do I adjust the vertical? It is in the menu but the selector goes to the next option and skips the vert adjustment option. I also see a bright flashing, cobalt blue concave shaped line, the entire width of the screen and a wide blue band of light across the near center of the screen, what does this suggest is wrong with this TV set?

Hi. It sounds like you have a convergence circuit failure. You can have a service tech fixing this for about $350-$400 or you can try to do it yourself for about $50. You will need to be comfortable with using screwdrivers, unhooking wiring connectors, using volt meter to check resistors, soldering on circuit boards, and using the remote to do final adjustments.
