Dark Picture The Brightness Is All The Way Up

The picture stays dark when i hhave the brightness on high

this is normal when the lamp is growing old. Just replace the lamp assy (or the lamp itself): http://www.encompassparts.com/item/6543847/Philips_Lighting/UX21511-C/Hitachi_Compatible_Lamp
