My Hitachi 42 Hd Ultravision Won't Turn On.

The red light will stay in Standby but the power won't turn to on and the TV won't come on. Is this a convergence issue?

Had same problem; problem solved when we moved set - heat vent behind TV may have been the issue because since we moved it, we have no problem with Power On. If you can't move the set, get a deflector to keep the heat away from the set as much as possible.
