Updating An Hp Pavilion M9340f Media Pc For Todays Applications.

I had a HP Pavilion m9340f media center pc and would like to update the motherboard, graphics board and memory and what ever else may be needed for video editing. As is it works ok but is slow converting videos and burning DVD and Bluray discs, and sometimes I play 3D movies to my TV using Cyberlink PowerDVD 15 and video is jerky and sound is out of sync. Any suggestions on adequate components to achieve this. Thanks,Larry
