Hp 4500 User Guide
I just installed a new color cartridge in my HP office jet 4500. Now I get the error message 'print cartridge problem tri color." I have taken it out, put back and have tried shutting off the printer and back on. It still gives me this message.

I'd recommend first checking your ink levels to see if they are nominal.
If the printer is showing that there is plenty of ink, I would try removing the cartridges and reinserting them. If you need help with that operation here is a link with some instructions:
