Scanjet G4010 And Officejet Pro 8600

I have both the Scanjet G4010 and Officejet Pro 8600. I like the quality I can get from the Scanjet compared to the Officejet, but am not able to use the included software with the 8600 to access the Scanjet. I can install the Scanjet software separately, and it works, but once I install the 8600 software, the Scanjet software is written over by the 8600 software and I can no longer find it...

This is normal in most software installation procedures. Since these models of printers are both HP brands, the manufacturer might not allow both installations at the same time. You have to install only one printer device that you will use. I believe that you cannot install both software because it might cause a driver software conflict in the end.
