Computer Recognizes My Hp F440 All In One Printer/scanner As Scanner Only.
when I try to print, message appears saying to print I need to install a printer. It is installed and worked up until a week ago when a friend did some scanning.

Basically, your HP F4480 printer is requesting you to install the printer because the driver software is not installed. Your computer cannot detect your printer if the driver is not installed. You should install the driver software which can be downloaded from HP website. Here's the link to the download page:
