Unable To Download Installation Has Windows 8.1 Upgrade Is This The Problem

bought 4500 hp envy mother has lenovo all in one computer recently upgraded her window's 8 to the 8.1 version unable to install software for website download or the cd is this because the computer has been upgraded to 8.1 the computer box states this product supports windows 8 thanks
