Hp Deskjet 460 Front Access Cover Switch Broken

When I lift the lid to change ink cartridges, they dont move. Likewise, it will print with the cover open. I assume this means something is broken with the front access cover... some swithc or latch isnt telling the printer its lid is open. Anyone have a fix for this?
