How Do I Change Ink Cartridges

To change the ink cartridges, first ensure you buy the right replacements. for the Deskjet 3050A, you will need HP61 replacements for both the B&W and Color.
You can pick these up anywhere you can find ink cartridges and are very common. Ink Cartridge packages usually list compatible printers on the side, so be sure to match your printer up. If you look on the side of your HP61 Ink Cartridge packaging, it will list your HP 3050 Deskjet on he side.
At your printer, be sure to properly dispose of your old cartridges and insert your new ones after taking the protective cover off the new ones. If you pulled both of them out at the same time, make sure you install the Black Ink Cartridge on the Right and the Color one on the Left. Also be sure not to touch any of the sensors on the front or where the ink comes out on the bottom. When you insert the cartridge, press firmly until your hear and feel it click and lock into place.
When all done, open up your toolbox and run your print alignment to ensure the best quality prints.
