Does Not Brew...blue Light Blinks
I have had one of these for about a year. Now when I press the bold or reg button, the blue light blinks 5 times then goes out. The machine does nothing after that. Any ideas what could be wrong

My original HB The Scoop Single-Serve Cofeemaker did this after about a year, so I replaced it and the replacement did the same thing within a month. I'd purchased the extended warranty on the second one, but the warrantor indicated the manufacturer's warranty would cover it. I just got off the phone with HB, who indicated they have not flagged this as a problem with this model (49981A). They offered to replace if I paid $11.99 in shipping and sent them a photo of the coffeemaker showing that I had cut the electric cord.
