No Map Data Available
My Garmin Nuvi 1300 keeps saying "no map data available" and "cannot calculate route." I've only had it for four months and one day it worked, the next it didn't. I've done both a hard and soft reset and it still does not work.

I had this problem with a similar model I just bought...thought how the heck can it say no map data when I just got it!? I went to tools > settings > map > Info > and noticed the only map listed which was something like"CN North America NT 2012.10" was unchecked...I checked the box next to it and bam, it worked...hopefully this helps you, if not try a map update.
