How To Acquire Satellites?

The manual tells me to hold the power button. All that does is immediately turn the device off.

To acquire satellites on the Garmin Oregon 650t, you should follow these steps:

Ensure that the device is turned on and has a clear view of the sky.
Go to the main menu and select "Setup."
Select "System."
Select "GPS."
Make sure that the "GPS" option is turned on.
Select "GPS mode" and choose the mode that best suits your needs.
Wait for the device to acquire satellites. This can take a few minutes, especially if you are in an area with poor satellite reception.
Once the device has acquired satellites, you will see a message on the screen indicating that it has done so.
