Hello, a friend fo mine bought a garmin forerunner xt in swiss and he cant change the france language to portuguese, we already updated the software but didnt work.....

Go to menu- settings- system- language. if that doesn't work scroll down to 'initial setup' and choose to run the wizard next start up. if that fails, try doing a master reset to the watch, turn it off and press the power and mode button together and choose to delete all user data. then put it outside (or on a window sill) for a few minutes and the wizard should start up asking what language you want. (note: this may delete all you're activities etc. so transfer them to garmin connect first).
