Frigidarie Gallery Washing Machine Hole In Outer Plastic Tub.

Our frigidaire gallery washing machine recently blew a 3/8" hole in the outer plastic tub. Not near any seam but the subsequent stream of water scored a direct hit on the motherboard. Any suggestions as to what caused this hole? and whether this appliance is worth fixing?

Good Morning MJQTV,

So I understand that your Frigidaire gallery washing machine, model# ATF7000FE, blew a hole in the outer plastic tub and that a stream of water hit the motherboard. While both the tub and motherboard are not inexpensive fixes, I would check to see if you are still under warranty. Some appliances have a limited warranty past the first year manufacturer’s warranty. What you can do is call the manufacturer to see if you are in warranty and if anything will be covered. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-
