To remove the vent grill on the FMV157GC model over the stove, you can follow these steps:

Ensure that the stove is turned off and cool to the touch before starting the process.

Locate the vent grill at the top of the microwave above the stove. It is usually held in place by a series of tabs or screws.

If there are tabs holding the grill in place, gently insert a flathead screwdriver or a putty knife into the slot between the grill and the microwave. Apply slight pressure to release the tabs. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the grill or the microwave.

If the grill is held in place by screws, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws. Keep the screws in a safe place so that they can be reattached later.

Once the tabs or screws are released, carefully pull the vent grill forward. It may be attached to the microwave by a wiring harness, so be cautious not to pull too hard and damage the wiring.

If there is a wiring harness, disconnect it by gently pulling apart the connector. Take note of how the wires are connected so that you can reattach them correctly later.

With the wiring harness disconnected, you can completely remove the vent grill from the microwave.

To reinstall the vent grill, simply reverse the steps above. Reconnect the wiring harness if necessary, align the grill with the tabs or screw holes, and secure it in place either by pushing the tabs back in or reattaching the screws.

Please note that these instructions are general guidelines and may vary slightly depending on the specific model or brand of your microwave. It's always a good idea to consult the user manual for your specific model or reach out to the manufacturer for more detailed instructions if needed.
