If your player does not recognize a disk when inserted, ensure that the disk is clean and free of scratches. Also, try a lens cleaner in your player. Lastly, power-cycle your player by turning it off and unplugging it for several minutes to reset the hardware. If the problem persists, your player may need repairs. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase along with your original receipt for warranty validation. I hope this helps.
