Dvd Player Says 'no Disk' When There Is A Disk.

The dvd player on my Dynex tv has always worked but yesterday and today, whenever I put a dvd in the slot, it says "loading" and then "no disk". Is there a way to fix this? And if so, how?

The first thing is to make sure that the particular DVD is compatible with the format - if an original or one you have played before, I'm sure it is compatible. You can run into a problem with copied of pirated DVDs.

There are a few reasons for the problem. The laser mechanism signal processing board may need adjusting or be dying. You could have a broken wire or loose connection to the board. The lens (eye) might be dirty. (I trust you don't clean the lens with a brush but with those soft, specialized cloths.)
