Telephone Line Required?
Must I have a telephone line in order to continue my Dish TV? I would like to cancel the land line.
Secondly, I purchased a new flat screen TV...how can I program it's controller to perform all funcitions including channel selection and menu viewing?

Hi, I would be happy to answer your questions about your DISH service. DISH does not require you to have your receivers connected to a phone line. DISH use to offer a credit for account that chose to connect their receiver but this promotion expired about two years ago.
I do not have any way to program your TV remote to work the DISH receiver but our DISH remote do have the ability to be programmed for the TV itself. Here is a link to our website where you can look up the code for you TV based on the manufacturer and then the steps on how to program the remote.
