Search Results Matches For 4 Calls To Dish Tv Office In Hillsdale Mi No Respon

Search Results Matches for "I have called the Dish TV office in Hillsdale MI 4 times. No response to my request for help. The duplex I own has 1 unit upstairs and one on first floor. The units do not work independently from one another. When I placed the order for the two units one unit is suppose to be the basic unit and the other unit is a DVR type unit. Which it is. The first floor remote is making the second floor unit switch channels on the second floor unit. The recording of shows is making the second floor unit not function properly. Can you help me get this resolved? Thanks, Mike Finnegan,

Hi there Mike, My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Dept with DISH. Normally when both TV's are showing the same picture, and the remotes control both TV's, the receiver is in "single" mode. You can confirm this by seeing what the orange light on the front of the receiver is under. To change it to "dual" mode, you press the mode button on the front of the receiver which should move the orange light and bring the TV2 blue light on as well. If it is in dual mode already and you are still having the same issue, the next step would be to check the 'Modulator Set up to make sure Tv 2 is on the correct channel. To check the Modulator Set up Press Menu 6-1-5 on the remote. In the Modulator Set Up screen where is says 'Tv 2 Out' what channel number do you have? 60 or 73? Depending on the channel please go to Tv 2 and using the original remote that came with your TV enter that channel number.

If the previous step does not resolve the issue the it could be that both of the remotes are working under the same Remote Address and this is why TV 1 is controlling the one upstairs. If this is the case we need to readdress Remote #2 to the receiver. First make sure that you are using the correct remote control #2 in case you have more than one dual receiver at home. If you do, check that your UHF remote antenna is securely connected to the "Remote Antenna" port on the back of your receiver and that the antenna is upright. Try addressing the remote again. Please take the remote to the TV1 location (where the receiver is) once you are here, (using remote #1) Press Menu on the remote twice, this should take you to the System Info screen. On the System Info screen towards the bottom you will see listed 'Remote address 1' and 'Remote address 2' put remote #1 down and grab remote #2. On the remote, press and hold the clear SAT button at the top for 5 seconds (once the buttons begin to flash) press the number 8 button on the remote, and then the 'Record button 3 times' After this procedure grab remote #1 again and press 'Select' take remote #2 to Tv. 2 location and try it.
