My Dell Xps L502x Seems Not To Recognize The Projector..any Suggestions?

I can not make presentations after connecting the laptop to the projector through the mini display port.

If you are using the mini-displayport adapter that apple makes, it seems to fail on non plug and play projectors that don't send edid info. The StarTech one worked for me. More details: http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=reviews/dell-xp-mini-displayport-projector-fix
