How To Find Out What The 4 Beeps Mean?
I have a dell studio 1555 laptop and when I try to play videos on youtube or a game (such as the sims3) that used to work fine, it now turns the screen off while the computer is still running. Then when you hold down the power button to turn it off, when you turn it on again it makes 4 beeps. then if you turn it off and wait awhile it will come back on. I've replaced the fan twice and also keep it on a USB cooling fan when it's on. I have searched for the beep error codes online and I'm coming up short. I can't seem to find anything for the 4 beeps so I have no idea how to fix it. Can anyone help?

you will have to check your laptop manual to find the exact answer as the beep codes often are specific for laptop manufacturers.
1) If you don't have the manual right now, you can take a look at the http://www.dell.com Dell official website, the section "drivers and downloads" asks your model number and shows you a list of drivers and manuals for the product.
