Error Code (e1217 5v Pwdgd) On Front Of Server Read Out Panel
using win 2008 r2 standard

Error code E1217 - 5V PwrGd is most likely due to motherboard or PCI risers issue.
But to confirm that, you can try to perform a minimum post on the server to isolate the issue.
Minimum components for PE 2950 to post:-
- motherboard
- processor with heatsink on socket 1
- two sticks of memories in slot 1 and 2
- 1 power supply
- control panel
- sideplane riser
- both PCI risers on center and left slot
If the error code remains after you have power up the server with minimum components, then it is confirm the motherboard or the PCI risers need a replacement.
