Very Very Frustrated
I have been trying for over 2 hours to reprogram my RC65 remote which USED to work perfectly fine with my Vizio E420VL tv to work. It suddenly stopped working 2 weeks ago and I am getting fed up. I have tried every code I can find online for vizio and a few other brands. i called tech support last week and was told that they didn't know what the problem was or how to fix it. i am getting very irritated- any ideas on how to fix this?????

DirecTV's so-called technical support accessible by phone consists of customer service personnel who are not technicians. For a limited time after you initiate service you have access to a field technician at no charge; after that time the company will want to charge you—but that may be the only way to resolve your problem.
My suggestion is that you tell customer service that if you can't get your service to work you will have to switch providers. This prospect may get you a free visit from a field technician.
