If I Subscribe As A New Customer To Comcast Internet?

My current internet account (locked in @$75/mo) is under my wife's name, if I subscribe as a new customer (my last name is different from hers) cancelling my "old" acct and respective email addresses, does comcast then release my/these "old" email addresses, so that I could use them on the "new" internet acct (offered @$30/mo?)?  My concern is my business email address is thru the "old" acct and I'd prefer to be able to keep this published business email address.
