The Standard

I have just replaced my clutch & shifter cable in my car. Now I am a first time owner of a standard car & I want to make sure it is took care of & drove properly. I normally shift gears around 2500 to 3500 RPMs but am not sure if that is correct? I listen to my engine & can feel when I believe it is time. But would like to be 100%... ? Thank you for your time & Help.
