TIPM, my ass! Fast blinking front right blinker bulb.

So the right front marker and blinker has malfunctioned on our amazing PITY Cruiser. With poop gas mileage and electrical issue after issue, I'm ready to walk. Regardless, I believe the TIPM has malfunctioned, as they seem to do. I refuse to repair/replace the thing as the car isn't worth it. To remedy the fast blinking blinker, I merely cut the terminal off at the right front. I then ran lead from the rear right blinker all the way down the frame and routed it to the front. As there are (2) two filaments in the amber blinker bulb, you can access a 12 volt signal from the rear brake light/blinker. And to ensure having the marker correct, I also jumped the lead from the right rear. It blinks fast still, but it's illuminated well and will pass inspection. I hope this helps someone, anyone out there as I went nuts changing bulbs and tracing wiring harnesses, etc. There are no relays for the blinkers starting with the 2006 PT. There is a switch of sorts contained within the turn signal switch attached to the steering wheel. I replaced all this stuff, only to realize that Chrysler HAD TO DO THIS ON PURPOSE. In fact, I took the car to a cerrtified, authorized Chrysler dealership only to spend $150 on a diagnosis with a prognosis of "?". It is satisfying having finally JerryRigged it myself. It works, so the hell with it.

Enjoyed our PT cruiser for nine years we have just let it go because so old-age and lots of miles but have bought another one same sort of car and hope you enjoyed as much as we do the first one.
