Zr 200 Won't Start Up With New Battery Old Charged Battery Or Dc Hooked

Camera won't come on with battery fully charged or the DC adapter plugged in, was stored in camera bag in closet, camera was hardly used , and worked fine when I put it away . I checked with a Meter and the DC adapter cord is sending juice to the battery connections , even Memory battery , I even was able to take old Battery and used a New charger that came with New battery and it charged up but still the camera won't come alive. When I plug in the adapter to charge the Charge light don't come on either.

First check the battery compartment door. There is a micro switch that turns the camera off when you open it. If the battery cover does not press down on the switch the camera won't go on. Make sure that the battery compartment door covers the batteries so that the micro switch senses that the cover is closed.
