Mx512 Doesn't Recognize Laptop For Scanning

When I bought a new laptop, I easily connected it wirelessly to the MX512 for printing; that works fine. But when I scan documents, the MX512 doesn't recognize my laptop, only the two other laptops already in the home. How do I get the scanner to recognize the new laptop?
