Printer Is Not Printing

I have an ipad. I bought this printer knowing it should work effortlessly with the ipad. But it does not. however I need to know, do I need to apply the cd for the printer to work? After what should I do next. The canon iepp app does not recognise the printer or other print apps. Please help!

For you to use this Canon PIXMA MP230 printer, you have to install the necessary driver software. The driver software enables connection between your computer and printer. You can download the driver software by following these steps:

1. Visit

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp230#DriversAndSoftware

2. Select your Operating System

3. Select the version of that Operating System

4. Click the Drivers

5. Download the driver software

You have to restart your computer after the installation of the driver software.
