How To Get Scan Function To Work

I have direct connection to PC, printing function works fine but scan is not,

Greetings - Please note that it appears like scans are to be perfomed from the printer's control panel (just as it is the case with copies) as opposed to using the printer's computer software. I would suggest that you download both your printer's 'Quick Start Guide' and the 'Basic Operating Guide' on the link below and refer to pages that discusses the scan function (the Table of Content will probably help in quick redirection to this relevant passages) -
