Battery Is Not Keeping Charge

Hi I cannot figure out why the optima battery i installed and after replacing the alternator the battery wont stay charged. please help

If you can fully-charge and disconnect your battery from your vehicle, it should be able to hold close to it's maximum voltage (~12.6-12.8V for RedTops & ~13.0-13.2V for YellowTops) for 12-24 hours. If it holds voltage when disconnected from your vehicle, but drops voltage when connected, there is likely a non battery issue causing your problems.
