The code means that one or more of your cylinders is misfiring. Could be a lot of things. I would replace the spark plugs, wires and distributor cap first to see if that helps.
If that doesn't help, it's a wide open field. Your catalytic converter could be bad (exhaust smells like rotten eggs), you could have a fuel injection problem or the EGR valve is stuck open. Could also be a vacuum leak in the intake manifold.
