Why Is My Top Thread Is Getting Wound Around The Bobbin?

My machine was stitching just fine until I ran out of bobbin thread.  I wound another bobbin and went back to the same project.. It stitched about 10 or so stitches and started making a bunch of noise. The top thread is winding tight aroudn the bobbin..I've tried new bobbins, needles, cleaned below the plate..Help please
