Bose Cmpnion 5 Speakers Has Suddenly Stopped Working. No Sound. How To Fix?

Bose companion 5 has suddenly stopped working. It was hooked to my laptop, and never had any problems with it before, last eighteen months. I have tried connecting using both interfaves, (i.e both the usb and the phono jack), connection sources : computer and from a portable device, but still no sound? Who can help please?
