How To Troubleshoot Interface Module And Remote Control

When I plug in the interface  a green light will blink a couple times and then will go off. Then I tried to to turn my system on but nothing happen no steady green light on the module. Not sure what's wrong because when I pushed a bottom in the remote i do get a green ligth
