How Do I Fix Asus Touchpad Malfunction?

My ASUS Notebook E210 11.6" Ultra thin's touchpad is not working properly. Why is it so, and how do I rectify it?

Reinstall the touchpad drivers

Open Device Manager.

Right-click (or press and hold) the device name, and then select Uninstall device.

Select Uninstall and then restart your PC.

Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver
