Bios Updating Or Configuration

I am installing a Windows XP operative system, but in certain moment, the wizard informs about a problem with the BIOS configuration and the installation stops. I need some body explain me how to update the motherboard BIOS, and where accessing to this actualization. My computer have a motherboard ASUS model P4S-LA. Thank you very much in advance. Reinaldo

Here is a link below that shows you all the download for the P4 motherboards. However I did not see the model you are referring to. The closest motherboard will be the P4S-X.

In order to do a bios update, just click the motherboard of choice, go to download and choose the O/S you are currently trying to install. Could be the O/S may not be cmopatible for this motherboard.
