Motherboard I/o Shield Alignment Issue (asus M5a97 R2.0 & Cm Storm Scout)
I have a CM Storm Scout and I'm attempting to install an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 inside it.It appears that the motherboard's i/o shield is not aligning with the motherboard. I have all standoffs installed correctly (they came with the case and I've removed unused standoffs), the i/o shield is installed completely (it came with the motherboard), and everything else looks fine. But the motherboard seems slightly too short for the i/o shield.
Not only that, but it is impossible to install the motherboard with the shield. I tried removing the shield and installing the motherboard and it fits fine. I really want to have a shield on the back of my case (to prevent dust, etc). I am wondering if this is an issue with the standoffs, the motherboard, or the shield? If it can't be fixed, who should I contact (case maker or motherboard maker)? Any help is appreciated.
