How To Connect Tab To Tv

Hello. Have an Acer sw5-012 mini laptop/tablet running on windows 8.1.Also,an Emerson flatscreen model # LTDN42V68US. When I connect micro hdmi cord,says "no signal". I have opened devices,selected "2nd screen",project,then duplicate. Still says "NO signal". Never had these problems before.Thanks

Press the input select button on the remote to toggle through the connected sources. Select the sound input for the HDMI jack if your TV is connected to a HDMI device.
