Sudden Stop Of A Laptop Acer Aspire 5733z! What Are The Causes?

I have a problem with a laptop ACER (aspire 5733Z).The laptop shuts down abruptly after a few minutes of operation.Do people have encountered the same problem?If yes, how to solve it?

This sounds like it could be an overheating problem. Acer uses a ePower Managment Utility to control the fan functions. Once the computer has been running for 10 mins or this Utility should kick that fan on as long as the fan is still operational. I would make sure that the Utility is still installed on the computer.

Greetings - This is yes common and usually result from an over heating CPU.

1. Make sure that nothing is bloking the air vent on the side of the laptop - Some laptops has air vents under them it seems - also note this.

2. You may have to open it and blow off dust from the CPU fan and heat sink (or use a compresed air can to blow through the air vent).

3. Try having a fan blowing torwards and observe.

4. Lastly, if the CPU fan has just gone bad (which could be the case), you will have to replace it.
