ASUS 61J, windows 7, 64 bit, intel i7 core
Original battery is terrible. When new the battery would ONLY give 45 min-one hr. before shutdown. When I talked with a rep he said" well unfortunately because of the processor etc it uses lots of power. In other words you're S.O.L., and the battery is surely undersized for this model.It also has a high heat operating temp, again "well the 61j has so many program and hardware" it just runs hotter than other models.. Now, I have random shut downs and its due to a "critical thermal event" which I thing it's a overheating problem with the ASUS 61 J model.
