Note: If needed, use your fingers to side. iBook G4 Keyboard - 5 Firmly grasp the cable, and carefully pull it straight up the connector from side to pry up until the connector releases. Important: Pull straight up, do not twist or pull the cable sideways. Lift the RAM shield (with screws attached) out of the computer. (Figure 7) Figure 7 3. Figure 8 5. Lay the replacement keyboard in the correct orientation over the keyboard opening, then flip it toward you and lay it face down on the palm rest to expose its connector on the shield and computer align and that the shield sits uniformly flat. 5.
