My Emachine E730 Says Wen U Turn It On Insert Windows Installation Disc.i Lost D

First thoughts are that the hard drive ha gone... But Lets go through it.. Pres f2 on startup to get into the bios.
Then look to see if your hard drive shows in the bios-if it does not, have you knocked or jolted the laptop recently ? If it does just check that the first boot device is set to hard drive, and let it reboot. If it does not show in the bios then shut down and remove the power suppl and then the battery. You then need to turn the laptop over, and there is a cover underneath the laptop to remove to access the hard drive.
DO NOT TOUCH THE HARD DRIVE WWITHOUT EARTHING YOURSELF, AND NOT WITHIN A MINUTE OF SHUTTING DOWN, TO AVOID STATIC DAMAGE.
Al you need to do is to check that the hard drive is fully engaged into its slot. If it is o.k then replace the coverand try starting again.
If it does the same it is worth checking that the ram is o.k, and you can do the same, remove battery and power supply, then the cover to the ram, and carefully release the clips on each side and remove and replace the ram sticks. Replace cover, and try it again.
If it still says the same, I would suggest that you have someone try to save any data you need using a hard drive caddy
If it has not died, then they will see it and be able to read off it n their computer-
