System Hangs...

I use an emachines e642 and ever since got it,never had a full month without an issue... recently took some movies from a friend's hdd and after that the system got slow and started to hang,every now and then try to access it,a certain error message or the other pops up like "windows explorer stopped working"...explorer exe stopped working...and so on... how do i resolve this without loss of files and docs...thanks Collins, Nigeria

It would be best to do a factory restore. You can do that by following the instructions in this video. MAKE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE DOING THIS AS EVERYTHING WILL BE ERASED.
