I Am Having Trouble Paying With Paypal Via The Same Credit Card I Have Been Usin

I am trying to pay for ebay items with PayPal and my credit card is being rejected. Error message is You cannot use this credit card for this transaction. Please use another funding source. I have called Pay Pal twice - no luck the first time and Ashton was a totally poor customer service rep this last time. I want to pay, as I have done repeatedly, with my Discover Card that expires in 2013. What is blocking my ability to do so?

There could be a couple of reasons: you're entering the CID number from the back of the card incorrectly; it's a jointly held card and the other party has closed the account; PayPal requires cards issued in some countries to be bank-verified; you may have opened another PayPal account (in which case PayPal will require bank verification).
