Power Switch Box
Power button works, light is red, volume knob is loose and doesn't keep bass on. Move the knob just right and it works.

Sounds like a problem with the subwoofer. Go to https://www.manualslib.com/manual/197191/Yamaha-Yst-Sw1500.html?page=23 and consider the Problems relating to the subwoofer.
