The ME-10 was released in 1986

It was the lowest model in the ME Series and retailed for $1,895.00 (CDN)

It has minimal features and offers no touch sensitivity; a feature common on even the lowest keyboard models today.

It isn't completely worthless though. Its saving grace is that it has an early form of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). Specifically, it has SYS-EX (System Exclusive) MIDI, but can still be used as a modest MIDI Controller or link to computers with softwares like MIDI-OX, etc. or other keyboards or Tone Generators. With the MIDI capability, it can breathe new life into this instrument.

It was designed for beginners to learn the YAMAHA Electone Organ courses, and is still an acceptable starter organ.

It is more than an organ though. It is a digital FM instrument, and in the right hands may be made to sound cool.

The value of it today, sadly will be fairly low. People are spoiled with single keyboards that offer more sounds. This instrument is best enjoyd by those seeking a challenge to use both hands on upper & lower manuals (44 note each) and to use their feet on the 13 bass pedals.

Speaking of pedals,

An Electone of this age may have lost its pedal responsiveness.

It can be easily fixed with some patience.

There is a guide to repairing the problem HERE:

http://wkoopman.home.xs4all.nl/electone/details/el-90-pedals/

It shows an EL-90, but the exact same principles apply.

MIDI-OX is here:

You don't have to use MIDI-OX. There are several good SYSEX MIDI softwares for free so search around.

I have over-answered your question, but it may help someone out there somewhere.

I hope this helps.
