I believe this will only work if you have an alternate email address, when you had setup your account with yahoo. Go to Yahoo! Help Central and at the bottom it should show Contact Customer Care. You need to have a back up email addresss so you can contact them. That's where you would go if you needed to contact them for any reason, and they really do email you it took my a couple of days before i could get me a new password, because i had to reason with them.
