How Do I Delete A Hijacked Email Acct?

My email acct was hijack when that whole PS3 hijack and now my friends are getting emailed spam from my yahoo acct. I cant just go in and delete the acct because when it was hacked, they changed the sign in info.

The first step is to set up another email account. It's always a good idea to have more than one account from two separate sources. That way you won't lose your contacts and will always have a backup for communication.

Next go to the Yahoo!Mail help page, What problems are you having with your Yahoo! account? which was recently changed. Select the bottom option "My account may have been compromised" You will then be taken to a captcha page where you sign in.

If you can't sign in to the account, you can't delete it. If you can regain control, you can then delete it and set up more secure accounts.

Don't forget, if you've got a cell phone, make sure that you set up the 2 step sign in for an additional layer of protection.
